Warm-up
Gradually increasing the number of emails sent by a new mailbox or domain, to build its sending reputation.
Warm-up means gradually increasing the volume of emails sent by a mailbox or domain that has no history yet. Mailbox providers judge a sender by its behavior: a few dozen emails a day at first, spaced out, then more over several weeks, while watching bounces, complaints and replies. A mass send from a new domain is likely to end up in spam.
