SIREN
The nine-digit number that identifies a French company, and the key to look it up in the registry and in BODACC.
The SIREN is the nine-digit number INSEE gives each French company. It identifies the company itself, while the SIRET, fourteen digits, identifies one of its establishments. It’s the reliable key for prospecting: names change or are shared, but the SIREN lets you match a BODACC announcement to the company registry, and check there whether the company refused commercial use of its data.
